DESCRIPTION:French film director Henri-Georges Clouzot is noted for his suspenseful thrillers like THE WAGES OF FEAR (1953) and DIABOLIQUE (1955). A superb earlier (and lesser known) example of his highly influential talent is QUAI DES ORFEVRES (1947)–a\npolice procedural exploring the troubles of post-war France with telling character portraits. When a wealthy\, lecherous old man is murdered\, there is no shortage of suspects. The investigation is led by a seasoned police inspector (Louis Jouvet) and centers on the jealous husband (Bernard Blier) of a beautiful dance hall performer (Suzy Delair). The noirish B&W cinematography is stunning! For our 10-year celebration\, we are partnering with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central and Northern New Hampshire to raise funds for the Mary Stuart Gile Early Learning Center Playground Enhancement Project. Event proceeds will support NHTI Athletic and Wellness programs\, and help with the construction of a new outdoor play area for children enrolled at the Center. Show your support for players of all ages! \nAbout the Mary Stuart Gile Early Learning Center: Located right on the NHTI campus\, the Center cares for infants through pre-K children and is part of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central New Hampshire. The facility also serves as a hands-on learning environment\, allowing NHTI students enrolled in the Early Childhood Education Program to gain hands-on experience in their field before graduating. \nThe golf tournament will feature team play with food\, games\, contests\, raffles\, door prizes\, and a lot of fun and laughter. Prizes will be awards to the top three teams\, the putting contest winner\, the men’s and women’s closest-to-the-pin winners\, and the men’s and women’s longest drive winners. \nRegister Now – $150 per player/$525 per team \nSupport the event through sponsorship!
