NHTI Awards PTK Scholarships
CONCORD– NHTI – Concord’s Community College chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, Alpha Upsilon Omicron, seeks to recognize and encourage scholarship among students, develop opportunities for leadership, fellowship, and service, as well as provide an intellectual climate for continued academic excellence. Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) is an international honor society for students attending two-year colleges.
Kelly Pilotte and Connor Safstrom are active members in PTK. Kelly is the chapter vice president and serves as the student representative to the Community College System of New Hampshire. Pilotte is pursuing a degree in addiction counseling. Safstrom was the chapter treasurer last year and continues to serve in this role having completed an associate degree in accounting while preparing for transfer to a university to pursue a bachelor’s degree in accounting.
As a way to leave a lasting legacy at NHTI, the 2019-2020 members of PTK established the scholarship which became endowed in the summer of 2021.
