Friday Night Film Series: Giant
October 16 @ 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm
A wealthy Texas cattleman (Rock Hudson) deals with culture changes introduced by his beautiful new wife from Maryland (Elizabeth Taylor) and an ambitious ranch hand (James Dean) who is about to become rich. Edna Ferber’s best selling novel was turned into a spectacular hit by George Stevens (whose direction won an Oscar) and a perfectly chosen cast. This legendary multi-generational epic (with a strong subplot involving racism) celebrates its 70th anniversary this fall.
