NHTI Adds Spring Track and Field Program

New for 2022-2023 Academic Year

NHTI – Concord’s Community College is proud to expand our student athletic programs with the formation of a Track and Field program for the 2021-2022 academic year. Building upon a very successful 15 years of intercollegiate cross-country success, longtime coach Perry Seagroves is eager to build interest in spring track and field.

The program will include teams for both men and women and will compete in the Yankee Small Conference (YSCC) and in the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) on a national level. Both Men’s and Women’s teams or individuals will compete at the USCAA track and field championships in Albany, New York on April 30. The spring 2022 teams will be coached by head coach, Graham Hayslip, with Seagroves assisting. Coach Seagroves has been honored as the coach of the year in men’s cross country for the last four years in the Yankee Small Conference.

“We are excited to add Track and Field to our athletic offerings for our students,” states NHTI director of athletics, Paul Hogan. “We will compete in some meets during April and travel to the USCAA Championships to wrap up our spring season. Our students have expressed a strong interest in adding this spring sport over the past few years. We are excited about the possibilities” adds Hogan.

This all-around sport features running as well as various field events. Anyone interested in participating should contact Perry Seagroves at
