NHTI Delta Dental 5K Road Race To Be Held April 15

Race to Benefit the Jennifer Kemp Memorial Scholarship

CONCORD – The campus at NHTI – Concord’s Community College will host the 17th Annual NHTI Delta Dental 5K Road Race on April 15, with day-of registration beginning at 4:30 p.m. and the race starting at 6 p.m. It is the second race in the Capital Area Race Series, with computerizing timing by Granite State Race Services.

This event is $20 per runner to run virtually or in person if you register ahead of the date; runners registering on April 15 will be charged $25 in either cash or check. All proceeds go to the NHTI Jennifer Kemp Memorial Scholarship. Prizes will be awards for the overall race and age group winners. Participants are asked to park in Lot C, located near the Wellness Center.

“This long-standing community event brings people together to celebrate spring and raise funds that directly support NHTI students through scholarships,” says Laura Scott, director of Alumni and Development at NHTI. “We appreciate the continued support of Northeast Delta Dental in partnering with us to host this race and all the runners that will be participating virtually or on campus.”

The Jennifer Kemp Memorial Scholarship is named in memory of Jen Kemp, a graduate of the Sports Management program who worked in the NHTI Athletics/Wellness Center Office. She passed away unexpectedly in 2004. The scholarship is awarded twice a year (Spring and Fall semesters) to chosen students who demonstrate strong academic skills and leadership potential and are active in campus life and community service at NHTI.
