NHTI Delta Dental 5K Set for Aug. 27
CONCORD — NHTI’s athletics department has announced the NHTI Northeast Delta Dental 5K Road Race as part of the Capital Area Race Series. This event takes place Aug. 27 at 6 p.m. with an option for virtual completion for the event.
The event is $17 per runner, whether you decide to run in person or virtually, with all proceeds going towards the NHTI Jennifer Kemp Memorial Scholarship. All participants must pre-register; no walk-ins will be allowed. There will also be prizes for the overall winners and awards for various age group categories.
The Jennifer Kemp Memorial Scholarship is named in memory of Jen Kemp, a graduate of the Sports Management program who worked in the NHTI Athletics/Wellness Center Office. She passed away unexpectedly in 2004. The scholarship is awarded twice a year (Spring and Fall semesters) to chosen students who demonstrate strong academic skills and leadership potential and are active in campus life and community service at NHTI.
