NHTI’s BTC Announces Drone Training Programs

Drone Training and FAA Test Prep Courses Available Now for Industry and Personal Use

CONCORD–NHTI – Concord’s Community College’s Business Training Center is proud to announce the addition of Drone Education Training to its course offerings, through partnership with SkyOp, LLC, a technology transfer company that offers direct drone training courses designed to teach people in the public safety and commercial markets how to fly and use drones safely, legally, and productively.

According to recent reports, unmanned aircraft like drones have become essential to various governmental and private businesses. “From examining properties for real estate and insurance purposes to checking on crops, drone features are proving to be extremely beneficial in places where man cannot reach or is unable to perform in a timely and efficient manner.” (Business Insider, Jan. 12, 2021)

Increasing work efficiency and productivity, decreasing workload and production costs, improving accuracy, refining service and customer relations, and resolving security issues on a vast scale are a few of the top uses drones offer industries globally.”

“We are thrilled to partner with SkyOps to bring drone training courses to central New Hampshire,” said Kathy Taylor, director of Workforce Development and Community Education. “Drones are a potential future of technological business savvy, helping to improve accuracy, resolve security issues, and even effect productivity for many businesses across the state. We believe these courses will train the next generation of drone experts today.”

Drones can be used in aerial photography for journalism and film, express shipping and delivery, gathering information for disaster management, thermal sensor drones for search and rescue, geographic mapping, building safety inspections, precision crop monitoring, unmanned cargo transport, law enforcement surveillance and storm tracking.
