The Academic Center for Excellence (ACE), located in the Learning Commons Library building, supports you by promoting independent self-directed learning. Meet with an ACE tutor today to talk about your learning strengths and challenges. We’ll help you refresh your essential study skills such as organizing time and materials, taking lecture notes, reading and studying textbooks, and preparing for tests. Desktop computers are available for student use during ACE hours Monday-Thursday, 8 a.m. – 7 p.m.; Friday, 8 a.m.-4 p.m.
ACE Hours and Tutoring Labs Availability
We offer free tutoring programs to further your educational goals. These include open labs and tutorials for A&P and Biological Sciences, Math Lab, Writing Center, Study Skills, peer tutoring, and group study sessions. During tutoring sessions, you can ask questions, learn at your own pace, and receive immediate feedback.
In addition, we have partnered with 24/7 Tutoring to offer students like you FREE on-demand tutoring support. You can log in to 24/7 Tutoring via Canvas.

A&P Lab Midterm for Day Students: 3/5 and 3/6
A&P Lab Final for Day Students: 4/23 and 4/24
Tutoring will continue the week following the lab final for lecture help. The final open lab/tutoring will be on 4/30/26.

Need a laptop? NHTI’s Laptop Loan Program lends laptops and webcams to students at no cost for the semester based on eligibility, availability, and on a first-come, first-served basis.
